Changing Scenes though a Window

Changing Scenes through a Window

Open a window pane,

Even on a day so mundane,

A bird is on a hopping spree,

Chirping happily,

Voicing notes of melody,

Matching rustle of many moving in symphony.

Rays of yellow light,

Seeking the room beyond the window’s sight,

Thin long leaves shake and hustle together,

To crop and absorb the sun’s heat altogether,

Such was a branch alive and green,

Always bring placidity to window gazers umpteen.

Today the curtain opens to a raw scene,

No birds, no green only a blank screen,

Winds pass silently,

Whistling to itself mutely,

Dancing leaves are unpaired,

Leaving tiny birds with emptiness to stare.

Now only the sun peeps in,

With all the intensity it could bring,

Scorching everything within reach,

Creating sharp shadows at every breach,

Every indentation amplified,

Life’s unprocessed coarse picture exemplified.
