You came uninvited,
Walked into my life unexpected,
I used to relish your presence,
Your warm embracing essence,
But now its fear that envelopes,
As you invade my abode in waves.
Oh! Water you have gone too far,
You have marked my home with scar.
Did you like my refrigerator cake,
My oven that bakes,
The warm bedding stacked,
My exclusive cloth rack,
My study corner jam-packed,
My sweets and packets of nicknacks.
Oh! Water you have gone too far,
You have marked my living-being with scar.
You slithered and snaked in quietly,
All throughout the day that didn't glow brightly,
You moved around like a toddler,
As inquisitive as an explorer,
Cursing anyone to break with utmost ease,
Spreading death, distraction and disease.
Oh! Water you have gone too far,
You have marked my worlds with scar.
Till yesterday, I roamed without any fees,
Today you have brought me to my knees,
Made me a weeper when I see my keys,
As from walls, roofs, floor tiles your clan seeps,
You invaded my neural peace,
Now, I sleep with disrupted ease.
Oh! Water you have gone too far,
You have marked my neurons with a scar.
