A day not so Ordinary
Yesterday was
a day, not so simple,
Everything
was compounded, as if riding an obstacle.
The milk
almost boiled over, from the kettle,
Breakfast
stretched on, till sun shone on the mantle.
An elementary
work, got entangled twice,
The computer
played cats and mice.
Lunch was
relatively calm, with conversations without force,
Then an
errand walked in, to speed up the course.
The tailor
next stated that, the cloth was meagre for all,
Reluctantly, the
number of shirts took the fall.
Return
journey turned out to be a happening,
The ride back
could not locate my bearing.
Meanwhile calls
poured in, from every directions,
A extra-class
teacher, wanted the kids to finish former assignments,
Running class
to class, became the evening’s highlight,
Walking back
home late, brought hunger and thirst to light.
Clock ticking
away in perfect time,
Getting dinner
ready was the next agenda in line.
I raced
against time, to catch up on all events,
Dinner was
gobbled up, to amends.
Squeeze in a book read, if I may,
To keep the mind from fray,
Since cleaning
pans was all that seems, like left to do,
Secretly,
scanning all the rooms, to check for any old dues,
Even the sun was deep in sleep,
Dreaming of jumping bales of hay stacked in a heap,
Finally with mid moon, I sat
down with a cup to brew,
Hoping a good night’s sleep may recharge, for the new day's hue!!
