Collect all the Senses

Collect all the Senses

Eyes don’t cry,

Though it’s an impossible try,

Take pride in her independence,

A sweet fruit of your daily penance.

Mouth don’t quiver,

See her ride the cloud silver,

Bless her with words of confidence,

Strengthen her against beings of no significance.

Hands don’t shiver,

That held the bundle delivered,

She has grown to be a maiden fair,

Yet conscious of all the surrounding stare.

Mind slow down,

As I leave her in a new town,

Here she discovers a new way,

Here she sets roots to stay.

Heart don’t throb and pound,

Lest it changes into a painful agitation sound,

Show her you believe,

As she chases all the dreams she sees.

So, collect all the senses,

To watch the time change tenses,

As daughter emerges from your shadows,

Towards life’s new and greener meadows.
