WATER!!!

The sump is leaking the ground suck like a straw,

The pump is sucking air when told water to draw,

The overhead tanks are never full,

No way of knowing when it will spill.

Oh precious water! Need to find ways to store.

For man’s needs have increased even more.

The lakes are dry, the land is thirsty,

The humans are selfish and dirty,

Neighbour states do not share,

Say it’s your problem you despair.

For the rains last year were not up to prime,

Rationed the water when we had the time.

Say no to skyscrapers on lakes shores,

Wasting precious when not enough to pour.
