Reminiscence
with a Song
An old song record singing,
Memories so many come
ringing,
Music has a melodious knack,
To evoke recollections
stored deep in a rack.
Introductory track playing
in a music store,
Many a feet tapping, wanting
more,
Some people bold enough to
acquire,
To change one’s mood as
pleasant as required.
A developing infant also
danced to the melody,
The precious has a sudden
queer appetency,
Pastries, juice and crepe
was presented,
Quenching the hunger
unprecedented.
The song scrapbook became
our travel buddy,
Long drives to sundry beach
dipped in melody,
Tune mingles with strange
formations of limestone,
Or wheels jingled about with
musical sand dunes.
A decade quickly passed by,
The track once again sing
its lullaby,
Even the papers fluttered to
the known beat,
The young boy nodded his
head, tapping his feet.
