I Wonder….. (26-1-2018)

Is pride of an illusory character greater?

Than the wellbeing of a nation.

Is face of a minister more prominent?

Than the fate of the constituency.

 

Is the marks obtained is public exams more important,

Than the knowledge retained.

Is getting accepted by high flying groups priority greater,

Than doing group activities together.

 

I showing off foreign gifts to acquaintances better,

Than having a few best friends.

Is marking your presence in a party satisfying,

Than visiting a sick friend or relative.

 

Is a grand jewellery rarely worn gratifying?

Than the award won by your kids.

 Is sleeping off a lazy Sunday pleasing,

Than watch your young play in a park.

Is buffet in a five star satisfying?

Than feeding a few starved homeless.

Is honour of a clan greater?

Than the respect for another human life.

 

 

Is man’s role in the grand circle of life larger, better?

Than that of the women!!!
