Exam
Centre
The entrance
to the exam centre,
Filled with
parents in grim candour,
Their wards
are sitting inside,
To appear for
an exam of a kind.
Young minds
from ends of the moon,
Ready to
spend a Sunday afternoon,
Solving
questions of subjects varied,
Hoping their
answers are not parried.
Outside the
exam epicentre,
Stood the
matriarchs in centre,
Wondering how
their kids fair?
Answers known
or give a scare?
Grouped
together are some moms,
Deep in
discussions on topics lump sum,
Future exams
and their implications,
Syllabus and
books to use for preparations.
Parents
waiting for hours on end,
Not bothered
about their Sunday is spent,
Happy to find
a place to sit,
Grateful for
the sun in a cloud pit.
At last the
exam concluded,
Students file
out of the rooms exhausted,
Both parents
and kids look grateful,
Hoping their
efforts are fruitful!
