Do we have School Today!


Do we have School Today!

 
It’s pouring, it’s raining,
The streets are brimming,
Life of many people faltering,
So the students ask,
Do we have school today!
 

It’s not Diwali nor Holi,
No crackles n’ sparkles or thunder,
Neither the sweets nor specials to plunder,
But all the parents wonder,
Do the kids have school today!

 

For chapters and lessons are many to read,
Explanations and doubts incomplete,
With lesser time for repeats,
The board exam prepares are hoping,
Do we have school today!

 

Offices and shops welcome people,
Colleges do not have any trouble,
Eat outs are filling with couples,
But school teachers are pondering,
Do we have school today!
